"Do you mean that if I'm not bowing down I'm not worshiping?!"
NO! The literal bowing down of the body can be done from a position of little intimacy. (See Exodus 24:1) The elders and leaders of Israel were called out by God to worship Him, but they did so from afar...no intimacy, little real relationship involved, just obedience. What is more important to the Lord is our spiritual hearts bowing down before Him. Man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart! Is your spirit bowing down before the Lord in reverence? Is your heart surrendered to Him? That's what He's looking for! THAT'S WORSHIP! |
