Dear Worship Team Prospect,
First of all, let us say thank you for your interest in this ministry! We are a growing team with room to expand even more. We want to offer my thanks and appreciation for your willingness to use the gifting and skills that the Lord has given you.
The privilege of overseeing the praise & worship ministry here at Clark Fork City Church is a responsibility to be taken seriously, however..., we get to share the responsibility to decide whether or not you will be a part of this team...with you! If you have musical talent, a worshiper's heart and feel that God could be sending you our way, we're asking you to pray about your involvement and with this ministry. Read on...
So, where do I go from here?
Here’s the process. Call the number at the bottom of the page. We'll get you an application form to fill out. When the Praise & Worship Department receives the form back from you, we'll set up a personal interview and audition where applicable. Yes, I said audition! Don’t worry; it’s not painful.
What are my responsibilities as a part of the Worship Team?
1. Always show up for rehearsals. (Thursday from 6:30-8:30 PM the week you are scheduled to serve.)
2. Be ready to practice on scheduled Sundays by 8:45 am. We'll specify the times for other individual events as they come up. Thank you for being on time!
3. Show up with a heart ready to serve and worship. We are here to minister to the body of Christ and to the Lord.
So how do I benefit from being a part of this team?
1. Fellowship with other believers who share my passion for worship and the arts.
2. Pastoral care and direction.
3. Ongoing musical/technical training.
So, am I committing to this ministry for life, even if I find that my real passion is witnessing underwater to scuba divers in Fiji? (Great idea, by the way!)
If you are invited to join the team, we ask that you commit for three months initially as a courtesy to the others who will be involved with you. After the three month trial period you will have the opportunity to continue if we (both you and the ministry leaders) find that you and this particular team are a good fit... however, if you really would rather be in Fiji, we won't hold you back!
Upon joining the team you will be responsible to both the director and your fellow worship team members. As we hold each other accountable before Christ we will operate more effectively as a team and grow more quickly in our individual walk with the Lord.
I hope this brief overview of the worship ministry helps you to pray into whether or not you would like to join the CFCC worship team. Please stop and pray about it when it is convenient for you to do so. Ask God if He is calling you to serve the body at Clark Fork City Church in this way. If He is, let’s get on with the audition!
