Who We Are:
Clark Fork City Church is an evangelical charismatic church, having both a Pentecostal heritage as well as an evangelical Christian tradition. We are a non-denominational church founded on the pattern of the New Testament church, using the Bible to determine our structure and purpose.
The most notable characteristics found in our congregation are dynamic worship coupled with a hunger for God's presence, intercessory prayer, ministry to the poor, a heart for foreign missions, and a desire for revival in the Missoula region. Some have used the term "Gate Church" as defined by Frank Damazio in his recent book by that name, to describe our church's role in the community.Clark Fork regularly hosts conferences and notable special speakers that also benefit the entire Body of Christ in the area.
The church's "city mission" is reflected in a variety of activities. The church has a food bank manned by a team of volunteers that distributes groceries to over 100 people every Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to noon. Generation One, the youth church for young people entering seventh grade through age 25, meets on Wednesday evenings at 7 pm and is a city-wide outreach.
Clark Fork is a legally incorporated, autonomous local church governed by a board of elders and maintains strong relational ties to a number of apostolic networks. |
